Twitterati and Why I Don't Give a Shit

I'm torn on the recent Twitter releases. As promised by Elon Musk, the internal workings and some communications are being released. Of course, as of this date the second release was hampered by the 'vetting' of one Jim Baker, former FBI, who has been at or near the epicenter of a lot of fuckery over the last few years. That this happened is not surprising, that it happened under Elon Musk's 'leadership' is also not surprising. Here's why I don't give a shit.

For one, these information dumps have not and likely will not lead to anything other than a bunch of conservatives saying, "I told you so!" to people who already agreed with them, or those on the left who don't give a shit. The operative strategy on the left has been to deny such things as shadow banning occur, and then act like it's old news when it's confirmed. No one cares except the people who have had their well founded suspicions confirmed.

Another reason I don't give a shit is this is yet more CEO worship. Elon Musk is a twit. Yet another CEO who claims he works 25 hours a day, which is easy to do when 'working' includes smoking weed and bullshitting with Joe Rogan, when there is no HR drone sitting on your shoulder like a vulture making sure your PTO 'bucket' gets docked for every picosecond your eyes drift away from your computer screen, and when you can conveniently blow off company policies other people get fired for violating.

Elon, the great savior, who will accomplish little to nothing in terms of actual consequences for people, because he himself has hit the stratosphere where consequences for fuckups, no matter how bad, don't exist. There will be no one held to account for violations of free speech, the various government agencies that very likely pressured social media companies to violate people's rights to free speech likely left no direct finger prints. There will be numerous Oh-Come-On! moments similar to Baker 'vetting' the release of information, but as there will likely be no direct evidence, no mainstream media will flat out say it was done, certainly not investigate to see if they can turn up their own evidence, and ancillary media like Reason Magazine and similar outlets will align with the mainstream and shrug it off as a nothing burger.

And there will be no consequences for anyone, no matter how egregious their actions.
